Plooto is thrilled to announce that we've been named a winner of the 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ Canada award for the second consecutive year. Recognized as one of Canada’s fastest-growing tech companies with a 516% growth rate over the past three years, we’re proud to be acknowledged for our role in transforming how businesses manage their payments.
This achievement would not be possible without the more than 10,000 businesses that trust us daily to power their AP and AR workflows. We are grateful, energized, and committed to building on this momentum to deliver even more value to our customers in 2025 and beyond.
Driving Innovation and Customer Success in 2024
In 2024 we proudly rolled out two new solutions to meet the evolving payments needs of growing businesses and established companies alike.
Our Pro Plan, designed for midsize companies with complex payment workflows, brings advanced capabilities to ensure security, efficiency, and control:
- Dual Controls protect against fraud and minimize errors, with multi-layered approvals for critical changes.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) offers enterprise-grade security, making it easier for teams to scale while keeping sensitive data secure.
- Oracle Netsuite Integration enables real-time, two-way sync that automates reconciliation, saving billable hours and reducing the risk of human error.
We also launched Pay by Card, making it easier for businesses of all sizes to access working capital when they need it. Pay by Card allows businesses to connect their commercial credit cards to Plooto, unlocking instant access to short-term financing, rewards, and flexibility for vendor payments. Key benefits include:
- Extended Payment Cycles: Businesses can delay payment cycles up to 60 days while benefiting from competitive APR on credit cards.
- Maximize Vendor Satisfaction and Discounts: Choose optimal payment methods and benefit from early payment discounts without immediate cash flow strain.
- Earn Rewards and Cashback: Businesses can now drive additional value by using credit cards for everyday expenses, boosting their bottom line through cashback or reward points.
Growing with a Vision-Driven Team
Plooto’s growth journey is powered by our exceptional team, with leaders committed to keeping customers at the center of everything we do. This year, we welcomed several new executives who will play critical roles in Plooto’s next chapter:
- John McLane as Chief Executive Officer, guiding Plooto’s vision and strategic growth
- Abe Knell as Chief Revenue Officer, spearheading all Go-To-Market initiatives
- Chelsea Bailey as Chief People Officer, focusing on building and empowering a world-class team
- Christopher Wassenaar as Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring Plooto meets expanding customer needs while upholding regulatory requirements
John McLane, who joined Plooto in September as CEO, recently shared his enthusiasm about the opportunity that lies ahead for the company and its customers. “I am energized to join Plooto at such an exciting stage in its growth. Plooto is a leading payments solution enabling SMBs and their accounting firms to streamline finance operations, maximize cash flow, and focus on what matters most: their customers. With over 10,000 organizations across North America already benefiting from Plooto's payment automation, we have immense potential to build upon that value and put financial power into the hands of even more businesses. Plooto has a customer-centric culture that I’m thrilled to join to actualize that vision,” said McLane.
